Root & Bloom brings together creativity, nature and hands-on experiences for children, adults, families and communities in ways that are practical, personal and a little different.

🌱 🎨 Kids & Family Creative Programs

Children’s programming is a growing part of Root & Bloom, with hands-on experiences that use nature as our inspiration, our materials and sometimes even our canvas. Painting, textures, gardening, planting and creating with natural materials give kids the chance to get their hands into something and see where their own creativity takes them.

Programs may include seed starting, seasonal creations, gardening activities, painting, mixed-media projects, nature-inspired art, plant life cycles, projects using natural materials and nature journaling.

Experiences can be created for schools, homeschool groups, recreation centers, libraries, farms, markets, after-school programs, community organizations and other local spaces.

🎨 🍷 Adult Creative Workshops & Gatherings

Root & Bloom isn’t just for kids. Adult experiences are relaxed, social and hands-on — from painting and nature-inspired art to creative evenings enjoyed with a glass of wine or beer.

I offer public workshops, private gatherings and custom experiences at places like The Oregon Garden, Old Market Pub, local recreation centers, community spaces and other venues throughout the area. Experiences can also be created for birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, friend groups, team events, celebrations and those nights when you simply want to get some people together and do something different.

When it fits the setting, I also collaborate with Mat & Chat Yoga to bring creativity together with yoga, gentle movement and mindfulness.

From garden cleanups and seasonal maintenance to planting, edible gardens, container gardening and complete garden overhauls, I work alongside clients to make outdoor spaces more functional, manageable and enjoyable.

Whether you need help reclaiming an overgrown area, want to grow more of your own food or finally tackle an outdoor project you’ve been putting off, every project is shaped around your space and what you want from it.

I create one-of-a-kind handcrafted jewelry and pieces made from and inspired by nature, including illuminated wood hangings, original drawings and paintings, mixed-media creations and other unique finds.

I don't mass-produce my work, so each piece has its own personality. Custom creations are always welcome too.

Root & Bloom offers personalized support for organizing, downsizing, estate sale preparation, garage organizing, reclaiming a spare room, changing how a space is used, home projects and those things that have been sitting on your list for far too long.

Healthy living doesn't need to be complicated. I offer practical nutrition and wellness support including meal planning, grocery guidance, garden-to-table ideas and realistic ways to build healthier habits into everyday life.

Children’s Nature-Based Creative Workshops & Programming

Root & Bloom offers hands-on creative workshops and educational programming for children, families, schools and community spaces. Each experience blends seasonal art, nature education and garden-inspired learning to help children explore, create and connect with the natural world in a fun and meaningful way.

As the school year begins, Root & Bloom is available for after-school enrichment, homeschool classes, no-school days, school-break programming, classroom visits, recreation center programs, library workshops and seasonal youth series.

Workshops may include nature-inspired art, botanical crafts, seed starting, simple growing projects, pollinator lessons, plant life cycles, nature journaling, seasonal creations and hands-on projects using natural materials. Children leave with something they are proud to take home along with a deeper sense of curiosity, creativity and connection.

Root & Bloom currently offers children’s workshops through The Oregon Garden and is available for schools, homeschool programs, recreation centers, libraries, farms, farmers markets, food cart pods, community events and seasonal family gatherings.

Programs can be designed for children only or for children and families together depending on the setting, age group and goals of the event.

When it fits the setting, Root & Bloom also partners with Mat & Chat Yoga to offer a dual experience that includes children’s yoga along with nature-based art and learning.

I offer planting, garden refreshes, seasonal maintenance, container and edible gardens, cleanup, indoor plant care and hands-on help with individual garden projects.

You don't need a huge yard to grow something. A patio, a few containers or a small sunny space can be plenty.
